Butterflies!

OK, so, last week I FINALLY figured out where the Macro setting on my camera is. Just for all of you who don't know, the Macro setting is the one that enables the photographer to take pictures or close-ups of very small things and capture a lot of detail. So I was sitting at my desk, trying and trying to think if there was anything I could use it on, when I saw some pinned and framed butterflies sitting on my desk, ones I've used for decoration for a long time. I took one that had already fallen out of its frame once and separated the back from the frame, and then I took a picture of it. I was convinced the whole time that I was going to drop it or something and totally ruin the whole thing, which would have sucked - but I didn't. Voila.

That's amazing! I like how it was framed so that it focuses more on the wing than the insectish abdomen. You really captured the texture of the wing, and the color is there too, though that's more the butterfly's fault than yours.

LOL. It's ALL the butterfly's fault. Thanks for the compliments. Hopefully, if I can take the other one apart, I'll have a good picture of a morpho here by tonight or tomorrow night.
